Caring for elderly widows

We began The Widow’s Table hoping to reach forgotten widows in our community with the Love of Christ. In two years, we have grown to serve over seventy older widows. We host weekly Bible studies, quarterly events and in home visits. The events are the highlights of the year for many widows. They gather at tables in our dining room where they catch up with old friends or meet new ones. They enjoy raffles, crafts, a breakfast or lunch and a message of hope in Jesus. Between events, we visit each widow in her home to pray for her and identify needs that we can meet such as food, medications, healthcare, and home repairs. Recently we’ve been able to provide beds and new kitchens, medications and monthly food supplies to widows in need. Would you join us in caring for a forgotten widow?
